NAVA THIRUPATHI TOURS

Nava Thirupathi Temples is a set of nine Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamirabarani river. All these 9 temples are classified as "Divya Desams", the 108 temples of Vishnu revered by the 12 poet saints, or Alwars.


SRINIVASA PERUMAL TEMPLE

Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple or Sri Mayakoothan Permual Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi. The Garuda Sevai utsavam(festival) in the month of Vaikasi(May-Jun) witnesses 9 Garudasevai, a spectacular event in which festival image idols from the Nava Tirupathis shrines in the area are brought on Garuda vahana(sacred vehicle). This is the most important of the festivals in this area, and it draws thousands of visitors.

MAKARA NEDUNKUZHAI KANNAN TEMPLE

Makara Nedunkuzhai Kannan Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi, nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamirabarani river. The utsavar(festival deity) of Nammalvar is taken in a palanquin to each of the 9 temples, through the paddy fields in the area.

IRATTAI THIRUPPATHY SOUTH TEMPLE

Irattai Tirupati Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi, nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamirabarani river. It is referred to as Ketu sthalam, a location for the snake deity, Ketu.

VAITHAMANIDHI PERUMAL TEMPLE

The place is the birthplace of Madhurakavi Alvar. ALWAR THIRUNAGIRI TEMPLE

Alwar Thirunagari is believed to be the largest town in the time of Pandya kings. The name of the town in Sanskrit is Srinagari; and under this appellation, it is alluded to Brahmananda Purana. the place is believed to be the birthplace of Nammalvar. THIRU VARAGUNAMANGAI PERUMAL TEMPLE

Thiru Varagunamangai Permual Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi., nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamirabarani river. Varagunamangai is referred to in one of the poems of Nammalwar, he must be posterior to Varaguna Pandya from whose name it is assumed Varagunamangai took its name.

SRIVAIKUNTANATHAN PERUMAL TEMPLE

Srivaikuntanathan Perumal Temple or Srivaikuntam temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi., nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamiraparani river. Srivaikuntam temple is also called Kailasapuram and has in Nataraja shrine, 8 artistically carved pillars. The most famous is the Kallapiran, the festival deity and presiding deity is called Vaikuntanathar.

THIRU PULIANGUDI PERUMAL TEMPLE

Thiru Puliangudi Permual Temple is one of the Nava Tirupathi, nine Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu located in Tiruchendur-Tirunelveli route, Tamilnadu, India in the banks of Thamirabarani river.The temple has an imposing image of Lord Vishnu, a lotus stalk from the navel of the image emanates the image of Brahma. The feet of the deity can be viewed through the passage.
